Episentrum Intelektual: Peran Strategis PTKI dalam Mengarahkan Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia

Abstract

This study highlights the role of PTKI as an intellectual institution with strategic responsibility for governing Islamic education in Indonesia. Its primary focus is on how PTKI can integrate Islamic scholarly traditions with modern knowledge to produce graduates who are honest, inclusive and equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The role of PTKI in shaping policy, curriculum and teaching practices is the objective of this research. Policy analysis through a review of academic literature and official documents is employed as the methodology. The research indicates that the integration of religious and general studies, the strengthening of scientific literacy and research ethics, the development of a curriculum based on innovation and religious moderation, and the synergy between the three pillars of higher education and public policy are all factors necessary for the success of PTKI as an intellectual hub. One consequence of this is the improvement in the quality of human resources, the alignment of the curriculum with national standards, and the enhancement of the quality of scientific publications. Thus, PTKI has a significant opportunity to become an intellectual centre that propels Indonesian Islamic education towards global standards without losing its national identity.
