Abstract

This Research to determine the effect of student learning motivation on learning achievement in reading the Qur'an at Puspita Kindergarten, Puser Village, Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency. In this study, a survey method with multiple regression analysis was used. The conclusion of the study is that Textbook Reading Activities (Variable X) have a positive and significant effect on the Cognitive Competence of Students at Puspita Puser Kindergarten. This is indicated by the mean price = 42.96 median = 42.7 mode = 42.18 and standard deviation = 7.30 with x2 count (5.371) <x2 table (9.448). The development of Cognitive Competence is going well, it can be seen from the analysis of the Cognitive Competence of Students (Variable Y) where the mean price = 51.41 median = 51.27 mode 50.73 and standard deviation = 8.58 with x2 count (8.546) < x2 table (9.448). The cognitive competence of students can be said to be developing if students are willing to read their textbooks. It can be concluded that there is an influence and relationship between Reading Textbooks (Variable X) and the Cognitive Competence of Students (Variable Y) with a moderate or sufficient interpretation scale at the "r" price of 0.696 can also be seen from the contribution rate of 48.44% and its side of 51.56% is influenced by other factors that can be studied further.
