Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the influence of the living environment on students’ learning motivation at MTs. Nurul Bahri Lontar, Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency. In addition, this study also aims to examine the effect of school facilities and infrastructure on students’ learning motivation. Furthermore, the study seeks to analyze the simultaneous influence of the living environment and school facilities on students’ learning motivation. The population of this study consisted of all students of MTs. Nurul Bahri Lontar, totaling 170 students, with a sample of 64 students. Qualitative data were obtained through observations and interviews related to the conditions of students, teachers, and school facilities, while quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students. The results of the study indicate that all alternative hypotheses are accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, meaning that there is a positive relationship between the living environment, school facilities and infrastructure, and both variables simultaneously with students’ learning motivation at MTs. Nurul Bahri Lontar Tirtayasa, Serang Regency. The t-test results for the first and second hypotheses, as well as the F-test result for the third hypothesis, show that these relationships are highly significant at the 0.05 and 0.01 significance levels. A better living environment has been proven to increase students’ learning motivation, and vice versa. Adequate facilities and infrastructure also contribute positively to enhancing learning motivation. Simultaneously, both variables have a strong influence in explaining students’ learning motivation. Therefore, the living environment and school facilities are important factors that need to be considered in efforts to improve students’ learning motivation
